The NecoPower-PD30M is a controller for a power bank, or for a USB-PD supply inside another product. It has one bidirectional USB-C port, USB Power Delivery 3.1. Charge is set up to 100 W. Discharge is set up to 65 W.
An STM32L4 runs the port, the pack and the logs. The BMS is for 6 to 10 cells: lithium-ion, LiFePO4, sodium-ion or LTO. It reads cell voltage and cell temperature, counts charge, and switches the pack off on undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, a short circuit, low temperature or high temperature. Logs leave the board on CAN, I2C or UART. The MCU can drive a small OLED or TFT, RGB LEDs and a sound output. Further USB-PD ports and other I/O sit on an extension module. On-board supplies are 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V, plus a 3.3 V LDO. Fan control, heater control and fast cell balancing are on the board.
The same series includes the PD31M, specified at 140 W in both directions. That board is still under development.
